Electronics Assembler

Job Title: Assembler Electro-Mechanical and Electronic Components Job Description

This role focuses on the production assembly of components used in power generation devices for the aerospace industry, including generators, alternators, sensors, and electric motors. You will follow detailed work instructions and drawings to perform mechanical and electronic assembly tasks, using a variety of hand tools, power tools, production machinery, and computer-based documentation. The position operates on a day shift schedule with four 10-hour days per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform production assembly of parts used in power generation devices for aerospace applications, including generators, alternators, sensors, and electric motors.

• Follow written work instructions, assembly drawings, and schematic diagrams to complete mechanical and electronic assembly tasks accurately and consistently.

• Build circuit boards and electric motor windings according to specified procedures and quality standards.

• Assemble and solder electronic components and wires, ensuring proper connections, reliability, and adherence to assembly specifications.

• Use hand tools, air tools, power tools, soldering irons, and production machinery to perform assembly operations safely and effectively.

• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to identify components, wiring routes, and assembly steps.

• Use computers to access and review work instructions, assembly drawings, and other production documentation.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following facility standards and contributing to a quiet and orderly manufacturing environment.

• Work efficiently on a day shift schedule of four 10-hour days (Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), meeting production goals and quality requirements.

• Communicate clearly in English to understand instructions, collaborate with team members, and document work as required.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in soldering, including assembling and soldering electronic components and wires.

• At least 1 year of experience in production assembly in a manufacturing or similar environment.

• Ability to perform electronic assembly tasks such as building circuit boards and electric motor windings.

• Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions, drawings, and schematic diagrams.

• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, assembly drawings, and schematic diagrams for electro-mechanical assemblies.

• Comfort using hand tools, air tools, power tools, soldering irons, and production machinery.

• Ability to use computers to access work instructions and assembly drawings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with electro-mechanical assemblies for high-tech manufacturing environments.

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality in both mechanical and electronic assembly work.

• Ability to work independently at a workstation while also contributing to a team-oriented production environment.

• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise soldering and assembly tasks.

The schedule follows a day shift of four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The environment supports both sitting and standing while working, providing comfort and flexibility throughout the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukie, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
