Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an OR Circulator position in Los Alamos, NM, requiring 2+ years of experience and active NM or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room of a 47-bed acute care hospital serving as a major healthcare provider for Northern New Mexico
• Surgical unit includes 3 OR suites, 3 PACU bays, and 5 pre-op bays
• Serves a mixed patient population across all age groups
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• EHR systems: CQI and Medhost
• Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, 5x8s
• Every other weekend and/or as-needed weekend hours required
• On-call required approximately 10–11 days per month; may increase to 15–16 days per month if staffing is limited to two clinical staff
• Floating to Pre-Op as needed

Requirements

• Active NM RN license or a compact RN license recognized in New Mexico required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and HWC — all must be in hand prior to consideration, as certifications are not available on site
• Minimum 2 years of OR circulator experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Circulate in surgical cases across a multi-specialty OR environment serving all patient age groups
• Hospital-provided scrubs; casual wear and open-toed shoes are not permitted
• New Mexico state law requires all clinical staff to be fingerprinted before hire; travelers may begin on a 14-day supervised waiver while fingerprint results are pending
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply; travel experience is a plus but not required
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
