Facility Maintenance Technician
Location: Venice, FL Schedule: M-F, 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM | Local Candidates Only
Summary: We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of our facilities and grounds. This role ensures a welcoming, safe environment performing general maintenance, preventative care, and emergency response as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, equipment, and grounds (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting).
- Complete preventative maintenance and respond promptly to work orders.
- Coordinate and oversee vendor/contractor work as assigned.
- Maintain safety, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Support emergency preparedness and disaster response efforts.
- Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with staff and leadership.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED and 1+ year of maintenance experience (healthcare setting preferred).
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to read construction documents and complete reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills; able to work independently.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, climb ladders, and lift 50+ lbs.
- Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and reliable insured vehicle.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
