Position Summary Sam’s Club’s Produce Team member is responsible for ensuring the quality, freshness, and availability of fruits and vegetables while delivering exemplary customer service. Provide exceptional customer service across the club, answering member questions. Maintain a clean, neat, and member‑ready area. Receive and stock merchandise in an organized manner. Maintain inventory so there is no out‑of‑stock or over‑stock products. What you'll do Be a Team Member: Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the products; collaborate with cross‑functional teams; help educate associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively; develop interpersonal skills; and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas. Be an Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to quality of produce; prepare products according to established standards; maintain product safety and sanitation guidelines; and adhere to applicable laws and company policies. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates; use handheld technology for immediate business decisions; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the area; use digital tools; utilize perpetual inventory management techniques; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; guide peers and attend to customer needs. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member’s experience, executing basics at highest level, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion. Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; implement related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; and apply them in executing business processes. Complete work assignments using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, and partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress and information; recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change. The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00 per hour. Compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, location, season, or specific work performed. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older.
