Job Details: Job Location: Ark Encounter - Williamstown, KY 41097. PositionType: Part Time. Job Category: Safety. Answers in Genesis EMT’s will render aid to employees, staff and guests at the level in which they are certified. Basic Life Support (BLS) – Promptly respond to requests for medical treatment, both emergency and non‑emergency, providing appropriate medical evaluation and care to the limit of certification and training. Professionally interact with other medical personnel and provide accurate written and verbal reports. This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. The position offers opportunities for spiritual, personal, and professional development. Responsibilities Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis. Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done. Approach all tasks with a second‑mile mindset. Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments. Establish medical protocols and standing orders for communications and patient care personnel. Serve as a liaison with the local medical community. Interact with regional, state, and local EMS authorities on issues relating to EMS standards, needs and requirements and optimization of resource utilization. Maintain continuing education appropriate for EMTs. Render patient care utilizing the Standard of Care approved by the Medical Director and the Kentucky Board of EMS. Provide support for Paramedics rendering advanced life support type treatment if required. Set up equipment and assist in ALS procedures when required (e.g., heart monitor, IVs, medications). Ensure medical bags are fully stocked at the beginning of shift, restock bags with supplies as needed and inspect equipment to ensure proper function. Submit orders to Public Safety Admin for the purpose of restocking. Log and maintain database of locations for all AEDs. Maintain all medical related equipment. Perform monthly test on all Emergency Lights and Emergency Exit Signs. Conduct monthly checks on all Fire Extinguishers. Complete required paperwork with full narrative documenting the nature of the dispatch, patient’s condition on scene, all care and treatments provided, including supplies to ensure the highest level of care. Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and timely. Participate in housekeeping duties on a consistent basis. Accept additional duties and assignments as needed to meet the needs of the customer. All other duties and responsibilities assigned by management. Qualifications Must agree with and be able to sign the Statement of Faith. Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Regularly attend a local Bible-believing church. Fit the culture of Answers in Genesis and demonstrate servant leadership qualities. Computer literate or willing to learn computer skills, with emphasis on Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint or any new system deemed necessary. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal communication skills. Administrative & organizational skills. High School graduate or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age. Current certification as an EMT Basic or higher in Kentucky. Hold current CPR certification. Valid driver's license. Clean criminal background check and driving record. Completion of a background check and pre‑employment drug screen. Completion of a motor vehicle report. Physical &Job-Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: Lift and/or move up to 300 pounds or more with assistance from partner(s). Grip up to 50 pounds. Push/pull stretchers weighing up to 125 pounds. Repetitively squat. Crawl into confined spaces. Climb stairs carrying 50 pounds of equipment. Reach with hands and arms. Kneel. Talk, see, hear.
