RN PACU Pre Op Manager

HCA Healthcare is seeking an experienced RN PACU Pre Op Manager to lead and oversee the pre-operative and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) nursing teams within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this leadership role, the RN Manager is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care for surgical and procedural patients throughout the pre-op and recovery phases. The Manager provides direct supervision and guidance to nursing and clinical staff, manages daily operations, and ensures compliance with clinical standards, regulatory guidelines, and HCA Healthcare policies. Key responsibilities include coordinating staffing and scheduling to align with surgical volumes, overseeing patient flow and bed management, and maintaining a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous improvement. The RN PACU Pre Op Manager collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize clinical outcomes, enhance patient and family experiences, and support evidence-based practice. This role also manages performance evaluations, staff coaching, recruitment, retention, and orientation, and promotes ongoing professional development and competency validation for team members. The Manager is accountable for budget oversight, resource utilization, and quality metrics related to perioperative and post-anesthesia services, including infection prevention, pain management, and recovery times. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment in perioperative nursing, excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, and the ability to lead through change in a fast-paced environment.
