Senior Network & Systems Engineer

The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish. DYCD is recruiting for a Senior Network & Systems Engineer to lead the design, implementation, security, and ongoing support of the agency's IT infrastructure. This role requires an advanced understanding of core technologies commonly deployed in enterprise IT environments, along with the ability to operate with a high degree of independence and technical judgment. These technologies include, but are not limited to: switching and routing, firewalls, load balancers, VoIP, Windows and Linux servers, cloud-based infrastructure platforms, Group Policy, LDAP (Active Directory), DNS, and configuration management. The selected candidate will serve as a senior technical resource in configuring and managing LAN services and the agency's endpoint on the Citywide WAN in coordination with the New York City Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI). The candidate will also lead the design and continuous improvement of technology systems that enhance operational efficiency, security, and scalability across the agency.
