Electronic Assembler

Mechanical Assembly TechnicianThis position involves performing a wide variety of mechanical assembly operations, including assembling cables, soldering, bonding, limited testing, and manufacturing of transducers. The role requires the ability to follow procedures and drawings accurately.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdhere to all established health and safety rules.Acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks while adhering to the production plan schedule to produce high-quality products.Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following policies and procedures.Work on routine assignments requiring limited judgment, with little or no role in decision-making.Receive detailed instructions on all work and operate under close supervision.Champion the company's Lean and Continuous Improvement programs.Ensure time and attendance align with company policies, procedures, and work area schedules.Complete work orders on schedule to ensure a constant flow of product and maintain efficiencies.Ability to sit for extended periods and work under a microscope.Perform hand soldering and read and interpret drawings, diagrams, work orders, procedures, and verbal directions.Prepare product components and fixtures for assembly and perform bonding processes.Fabricate cable assemblies and perform limited product testing.Engage in routine hands-on assembly tasks in manufacturing Eddy Current probes, Ultrasonic transducers, or BondMaster sensors.Demonstrate a basic understanding of Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, or BondMaster inspection methods and their application in the sensor assembly process.Performance Evaluation CriteriaProduce quality products in accordance with standards.Meet established standard times for standard operations.Follow all applicable manufacturing procedures and documentation.Follow work order activities as established via manufacturing reports.Accurately record labor time to all work order operations into the MRP system.Clean and maintain equipment, including tools and fixtures.Participate in the company's Lean and Continuous Improvement programs.Maintain time and attendance, including accurate reporting.Maintain work area 5S standards.Work with team members with mutual respect and understanding.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma.Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience.Experience with hand soldering and using a microscope is a plus.Essential Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesGood manual dexterity.Strong attention to detail.Computer skills and literacy are a plus.Highly organized and self-managed individual who works independently with minimal supervision.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong verbal communication skills.Ability to embrace change and be a team player.Enjoy contributing to a diverse manufacturing group.Ability to work overtime as needed.Ability to sit and work under a microscope for extended periods.Benefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
