Bridge Inspector

Bridge InspectorRK&K is currently hiring a Bridge Inspector to join our Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) team in Raleigh, NC. This position is in our Construction Management group which oversees the contractor's operations on roadway and bridge construction projects.Essential FunctionsAssisting the CEI Project Manager with daily bridge/roadway inspectionEnsuring contractor compliance alongside quality controlPerforming NCDOT and municipal inspections and testing as requiredThese tests and inspections include, but are not limited to: earthwork, asphalt, concrete, bridge and miscellaneous structures, toll facilities, lighting, signalization, environmental compliance, maintenance of traffic, utilities, etc.This position receives general supervision and instruction from the CEI Project Manager and Assistant Project ManagerRequired Skills and ExperienceHigh school graduate or equivalentTwo (2) years' lead experience in NCDOT bridge construction inspectionNCDOT Concrete Field TestingNCDOT QMS RoadwayPreferred Skills and ExperienceBS in Civil Engineering from an accredited institutionPhysical DemandsThis role requires the ability to perform field inspections on active construction sites. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, navigate uneven terrain, and climb ladders or stairs. Ability to lift and carry inspection equipment and materials weighing up to 20–30 pounds on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation.
