POSITION SUMMARY: The Waitstaff sets up, prepares and serves meals. Takes resident orders. Enters orders into computer programeMenu POS system. Cleans, resets tables and other tasks as assigned. Provides resident feedback on nutritional problems to manager/dietitian.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up for service by preparing coffee pots for stations.
• Set up soup station in kitchen and beverage stations in alcove.
• Set tables including creamers, condiments, salt and pepper and other designated menus/items.
• Follows customer service standards of service for residents.
• May assist residents with table seating during service hours.
• Review menu of day with residents and take orders for meal.
• Take orders via computer (tablet or station) for each resident table as assigned.
• Serve water, iced tea, milk and other hot beverages to residents.
• Serve resident meals as orderedsalad/soup, entre, sides and desserts.
• Follow standards for table clearing salad/soup, entre, sides and desserts.
• Clean and set up dining room for next meal service.
• Wrap dinner silverware packets.
• Clean up and break down beverage station and other work areas in kitchen.
• Clean up soup table after service in kitchen.
• Place any soiled tables linens/aprons in designated laundry bin.
• Complete scheduled cleaning routines in the dining room.
• Follow oral and written directions.
• Work cooperatively with co-workers and other departments.
• Attend in-service training programs for dining staff.
• Observe infection control procedures.
• Observe all facility safety policies and procedures.
• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality and present a clean, neat appearance at all times.
• Assume accountability for data contained in employees' handbook.
• Follow Resident's Rights policies at all times.
• Perform other related duties as requested by the Restaurant Manager and/or Director of Dietary Services.

Function under inside environmental conditions. Adheres to the Values and expectations statement and element of the compliance program. Adheres to the organization policies and procedure covering privacy and security in compliance with HIPPA regulations. Attend meetings and complete Relias in-services as required.

EDUCATION: Must be minimum of fifteen (15) yrs of age.
