Client Service Specialist

Full-time, in person Pay: $20–$22/hour, plus bonus opportunities East Windsor, CT About Us We’re an established financial advisory firm that helps people at or near retirement identify and reach their financial goals, and we also help them with tax filing and Medicare health plans. Many of our clients rely on us during some of the biggest decisions of their lives, so a friendly, dependable voice at the front of our office matters a lot. About The Role As our Client Service Specialist, you’ll be the first person most clients talk to. Most of the role is reception and administrative work: answering phones, scheduling appointments, and keeping our records accurate. You’ll also build relationships with clients and help make every visit and call a positive experience. This is a busy phone role. Expect roughly 10 to 25 calls a day from clients, prospective clients, and Medicare brokers. Volume picks up during Medicare enrollment season and tax season, so you’ll do well here if you stay calm and organized when the phones are busy. What You’ll Do Answer a steady volume of incoming calls from clients, prospects, and Medicare brokers Schedule appointments and make daily confirmation calls to existing and prospective clients Greet clients in the office and handle general service questions and requests Enter and update client information in our client database Handle basic word processing and general office administration Support our marketing efforts to help the firm reach its client acquisition goals What We’re Looking For Experience in reception, appointment setting, customer service, or a similar front-office role A clear, polite, and friendly communication style, both on the phone and in person Strong time management, and the ability to prioritize when things get busy A proactive attitude: you notice what needs doing and handle it Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (or Open Office) and web-based applications A genuine interest in building lasting relationships with clients Nice to have: Experience in the financial services, insurance, or Medicare industry. This isn’t required, and we’re happy to train the right person.
