Accounting Clerk (Ar/Ap)

Our client is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk (AR/AP) for a 3+ month contract role that is part-time, about 20 hours/week. You will need to work onsite in Manassas, VA.

Accounting Support:

· Assist with accounts payable: data entry, matching vendor invoices, coding, and preparing payments.

· Assist with accounts receivable: prepare invoice package for data entry, process credit applications and credit card payments, verify client tax exempt forms and follow up on overdue accounts.

· Maintain and update accounting records and files.

· Communicate with vendors and customers regarding billing, payments or other issues.

Administrative Duties:

· Perform general office administration (filing, document management, correspondence, kitchen and breakroom supply management).

· Greet visitors, answer phone calls, and direct inquiries appropriately.

· Provide customer service via phone, email and in person.

· Manage scheduling, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.

· Order office supplies and manage vendor relationships.

· Maintain organized records (physical and digital).

· Support operations with processing shipping paperwork for delivering products to clients

· Additional administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

· Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role.

· Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
