MOGEL is partnering with a highly respected, full-service business law firm to hire an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal for its Bay Area office in Oakland, California.

This is an opportunity to work alongside accomplished attorneys on sophisticated commercial litigation matters while joining a collaborative, people-focused firm that values initiative, professional growth, and exceptional client service.

The position will initially require a consistent in-office presence to support training, team integration, and familiarity with the firm's processes and matters. Once the successful candidate is fully trained and operating independently, the role will be eligible to transition to a hybrid schedule based on business and team needs.

What You'll Do

As a key member of the litigation team, you will help move complex matters forward from initial case development through discovery, trial preparation, and resolution.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting attorneys with complex commercial litigation matters
• Organizing and maintaining case files, evidence, witness materials, and other litigation records
• Managing documents and case information within electronic databases
• Reviewing, coding, organizing, and preparing documents for production
• Assisting with written discovery, pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other court filings
• Coordinating the collection and maintenance of key document sets and witness materials
• Researching court rules, filing requirements, related proceedings, witnesses, experts, and other case-specific information
• Preparing exhibits, witness materials, trial binders, chronologies, and other materials for hearings and trials
• Providing hands-on trial preparation and trial support
• Filing documents electronically in California state and federal courts
• Communicating professionally with clients, experts, vendors, courts, and other third parties
• Tracking deadlines and helping ensure litigation matters remain organized and on schedule

What You'll Bring

• At least five years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house legal environment
• Meaningful experience supporting complex commercial litigation matters
• Strong trial preparation and eDiscovery experience
• Knowledge of California and federal civil litigation procedures, court rules, deadlines, and filing requirements
• Experience with an eDiscovery platform such as Relativity, DISCO, Everlaw, or a comparable system
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and legal document-management tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple matters, competing priorities, and time-sensitive deadlines
• A proactive, thoughtful approach to work and the judgment to operate independently when appropriate
• The professionalism and confidence to communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, experts, and colleagues at all levels
• Qualifications that satisfy the requirements for paralegals under California Business and Professions Code §6450

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $107,000-$120,000 annually .

The actual salary offered within this range will depend on relevant factors such as litigation experience, trial and eDiscovery background, education, certifications, specialized skills, and other job-related qualifications. The posted range represents the employer's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting.
