About This Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Teacher to lead our 2-year-old classroom. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating curriculum and managing daily classroom operations, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for our children. The successful Teacher will be skilled in communicating with both children and adults, able to meet the needs of our students and resolve parental concerns. This full-time position offers a consistent schedule of 35-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with flexible start dates.

What You'll Do- Develop and implement engaging educational activities that cater to the unique needs and interests of our 2-year-old students, based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Plan and execute a range of activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth, fostering a love of learning in our students.
- Build strong relationships with parents through regular communication, ensuring they are informed and involved in their child's education.
- Maintain the highest standards of health and safety, ensuring our classroom environment is clean, safe, and secure for all students.
- Manage records and documentation accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with state regulations and center policies.
- Pursue ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and innovations in early childhood education.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work collaboratively and energetically with staff, children, and parents, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
- Strong understanding of child development and learning principles.
- CPR and First Aid certification for infants and children.
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and health screening.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for long periods, using hands and fingers, and lifting.
- Two courses in early childhood education would be beneficial.
- Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
- A degree in early childhood education or a related field would be an asset.
- Previous experience working with young children, ideally in a classroom setting.
