Operations / Machining Manager

This position is located in Killdeer, ND. Candidates must be willing to relocate or commute to this location daily .

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Machinist with strong leadership skills to join our team. This hands-on leadership role combines technical expertise with operational oversight, process improvement, and team development in a fast-paced machine shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily shop operations and drive continuous process improvements to increase efficiency and meet quality expectations.
• Approve billing, machine documentation, prints, setups, and programs.
• Lead machinist training, to include quality expectations, and ensure clear internal communication.
• Manage customer relationships — proactively pursue new business opportunities, maintain strong partnerships with existing customers, ensure their needs are met, and gather feedback for ongoing improvement.
• Work on facility and workplace improvements by collaborating with the team to create a safer, more organized, and more efficient environment.
• Provide leadership and support team development, mentoring, and performance growth.

Bakken Thread Repair repairs various premium drill pipe connections as well as tubing and casing. We handle our customer's needs from inspections, pipe repair, trucking, hard banding, bucking, and storing.
