Controller** Location: **Phoenix Arizona 85018** Duration: **Direct hire** Pay: **$90k-$110k** Bonus: **Eligible for annual bonus based on individual performance** Setting: **On-site; After approval by manager: hybrid 3 remote days monthly** Reports to: Director of Accounting Why is it open: internal promotion We're seeking an experienced **Assistant Corporate Controller** to support corporate accounting operations and partner closely with the Controller/Director. This leadership role oversees accounting functions, financial reporting, process improvements, and team development while ensuring accurate and timely financial results. Key Responsibilities * Support corporate accounting operations and financial reporting activities* Review financial data, reconciliations, and internal controls for accuracy and compliance* Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff* Assist with property acquisitions, including accounting system setup and closing reconciliations* Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes* Partner with operations and department leaders to improve accounting processes and reporting* Oversee accounting system administration and third-party applications Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance* 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities* Strong property management accounting and financial reporting experience* Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, controls, and month-end close processes* Proficiency in NextGen and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required)* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Must-Have Experience * Property management accounting background* Financial reporting and month-end close expertise* Experience using NextGen and Microsoft Office products This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader looking to drive operational excellence and support a growing organization. #J-18808-Ljbffr
