Payroll Assistant – QuickBooks Experience RequiredLocation: Tyler

Concho Hearts Hospice is looking for a dependable Payroll Assistant to join our team. This position will support payroll processing for our growing organization and work closely with Payroll, Human Resources, and branch leadership.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working with numbers, understands the importance of accuracy and confidentiality, and can meet time-sensitive deadlines in a busy environment.

***Must have schedule flexibility and be available to work evenings and/or weekends when necessary to meet payroll deadlines***

What You’ll Do

• Assist with processing payroll accurately and on time
• Enter, review, and maintain payroll information in QuickBooks
• Review employee timekeeping information for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with payroll changes, deductions, reimbursements, and other payroll-related entries
• Help research and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Communicate with employees and branch leadership regarding payroll questions or missing information
• Assist with new-hire payroll setup and employee information changes
• Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records
• Assist with payroll reports, reconciliations, and documentation
• Work closely with Human Resources and Payroll to ensure employee information is accurate
• Assist with other payroll, accounting, and administrative responsibilities as needed

What We’re Looking For

• QuickBooks experience REQUIRED
• Previous payroll, bookkeeping, accounting, or related administrative experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and payroll data
• Strong computer skills, including Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Excellent organization and time-management skills
• Ability to work efficiently under time-sensitive deadlines
• Professional communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee and financial information
• Dependable, positive, and willing to learn
• Must have schedule flexibility and be available to work evenings and/or weekends when necessary to meet payroll deadlines

Healthcare or hospice experience is a plus, but not required .

Schedule & Availability

This is a full-time position. While regular business hours are expected, payroll is deadline-driven. Candidates must be willing and able to work occasional evenings and weekends when necessary to ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time.
