Presidential Chair in Economics

The client is seeking a visionary and interdisciplinary scholar to serve as the Presidential Chair in Economics within the Department of Economics. The role is an endowed, full-professor position at the highest academic level, designed to advance the client’s research mission through transformative, policy-oriented scholarship. The Chair is expected to elevate the department’s research, broaden its influence in the field, and help attract distinguished scholars and resources to support continued growth. The successful candidate will be a nationally and internationally recognized economist with a distinguished research record and a demonstrated ability to connect economic research to real-world policy applications. The Chair will maintain a high-impact research agenda that strengthens and expands the department’s applied microeconomics focus. In addition, they will foster strategic cross-campus collaborations and will be expected to partner with relevant research centers and academic units across campus. As a dynamic mentor and institutional leader, the Chair will support the growth and development of faculty and students.
