Job Family: FAC - Part-Time Faculty, Credit Classes Grade P1 Salary $54.37 - Base Rate Department Arts & Philosophy Reports To Department Chairperson Closing Date Open until filled FLSA Status Exempt - Not Eligible for Overtime Compensation First Review Date August 04, 2025 Position Overview This Adjunct faculty member teaches Humanities courses. Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes. Teaches lecture and laboratory sections Evaluates and advises students Participates in departmental and College affairs Develops curricula Recruits students Serves on committees Performs other duties as assigned What you need to succeed Master's degree in Humanities: or Master's degree with a total of 18 graduate semester hours in at least three of the Humanities disciplines (Art, Dance, Literature, Music, Theatre, Philosophy, or Humanities). All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution. Must possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community. Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments. Additional Requirements The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
