**About the Role**

We're looking for a UI/UX Design Engineer who enjoys both designing user experiences and building them.

This isn't a traditional UI designer role, nor is it purely a frontend engineering position. You'll own the experience from concept to implementation—designing intuitive interfaces, creating polished interactions, and developing production-ready front-end components that bring those experiences to life.

You'll work closely with product, engineering, and creative teams to build fast, elegant, and highly engaging user experiences for a consumer AI product.

**What You'll Do**

* Design intuitive user flows, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity interfaces.
* Translate designs into responsive, production-ready front-end experiences.
* Build and maintain reusable UI components and contribute to our design system.
* Improve user experience by refining interactions, animations, accessibility, and visual consistency.
* Collaborate with product and engineering teams to rapidly prototype and iterate on new features.
* Help shape the overall product experience through thoughtful design decisions and technical implementation.
* Stay up to date with modern UI/UX trends, front-end technologies, and AI product experiences.

**What We're Looking For**

* 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, frontend engineering, or Design Engineering.
* Strong portfolio showcasing both product design and shipped web experiences.
* Proficiency with Figma for UI/UX design and prototyping.
* Strong frontend development skills using:
* HTML5
* CSS3
* JavaScript/TypeScript
* React (preferred) or another modern frontend framework
* Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and modern web standards.
* Experience creating reusable UI components and design systems.
* Strong eye for typography, spacing, visual hierarchy, and interaction design.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with rapid iteration.

**Nice to Have**

* Experience with motion design and micro-interactions.
* Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or modern CSS frameworks.
* Experience building AI-powered products or consumer-facing SaaS applications.
* Knowledge of animation libraries such as Framer Motion or GSAP.
* Understanding of usability testing and UX research.
