Openings: 2 Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in electrical/electronic engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in prototype PCB development, electrical testing, troubleshooting, tools and fixture design, and engineering documentation.

Experience supporting medical device manufacturing , FDA/regulatory requirements, and quality systems is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, layout, and build prototype PCBs, electrical tools, and fixtures .

• Develop and modify electrical schematics, specifications, layouts, and other engineering documentation.

• Perform electrical testing, evaluation, troubleshooting, and fault isolation of electrical systems and prototypes.

• Conduct design verification measurements and document test results.

• Prepare detailed engineering test reports and technical documentation.

• Design, build, and troubleshoot electrical breadboards and hybrid prototype systems .

• Support manufacturing processes and engineering activities, preferably within the medical device industry .

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other technical teams.

• Work closely with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers as required.

• Ensure engineering activities comply with FDA regulations, company procedures, quality requirements, and applicable regulatory standards .

• Apply structured problem-solving and analytical techniques to identify and resolve electrical design and manufacturing issues.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives; Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.

• Travel approximately 10% , including potential international travel.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering discipline .

• 7+ years of relevant Electrical/Electronic Engineering experience .

• Strong hands-on experience with prototype PCB design, layout, and development .

• Experience designing and constructing electrical tools and fixtures .

• Strong experience with electrical testing, troubleshooting, evaluation, and fault isolation .

• Experience working with electrical breadboards and hybrid prototype systems .

• Experience with engineering measurements and design verification testing .

• Strong technical documentation and engineering report-writing skills .

• Experience with FDA/regulatory compliance .

• Medical device manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors.

• Willingness to travel approximately 10% , including internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the medical device industry .

• Experience supporting regulated manufacturing environments.

• Knowledge of FDA requirements and quality systems .

• Six Sigma knowledge or certification.

• Experience working with prototype development and manufacturing transfer/support.
