Human Resources GeneralistThe Human Resources Generalist serves as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees across the Ocean House Collection, supporting HR operations, compliance, benefit administration, and employee engagement, while fostering a positive workplace culture and exceptional employee experience.This role offers growth opportunities with Ocean House Collection's Human Resources team and exposure to all functional areas of Human Resources, including employee relations, benefits, compliance, HR technology, talent management, and organizational development.Due to the nature of hospitality operations, occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and additional hours may be required to meet business needs.Key responsibilities include:Administrative Responsibilities: Oversee and maintain optimal function of the organization's internal Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), which may include database management, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades to applications, systems, and modules.Employee Benefits: Partner with the Assistant Group Director of Human Resources and the Payroll and Benefits Manager to administer various employee benefits programs.Employee Housing: Assign rooms and ensure required housing documents are signed prior to move-in, when possible, for both temporary housing or year-round.Workers' Compensation: Process new claims, coordinating with insurance carriers and ensuring timely reporting.All other duties as assigned.Required job knowledge and skills include:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong customer service orientationExceptional attention to detail and accuracyExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to build relationships with employees at all levels.Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality environment preferred.Bilingual in Spanish preferred.Education & experience:An associate's degree or higher in Human Resources, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field required; additional work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.A minimum of two (2) years of human resources experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.SHRM-CP, PHR or other HR certification preferred.Physical requirements:Prolong periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift or move up to 25 pounds at timesComfortable in a variety of environments, including kitchens, dining rooms, and outdoor venues.
