General Manager of Catering & EventsMalvern, PA area | Onsite | 100K- 120K DOE + 25K- 40K potential commissionsA long-standing event company in the Malvern, PA area is seeking a General Manager of Catering & Events to run day-to-day operations across four venues, multiple catering brands, and two food trucks, with events throughout the Philadelphia region. You'll turn ownership's priorities into daily execution and run operations independently. This is a hands-on role for a leader who loves high-volume events and is equally comfortable reviewing a P&L or pouring drinks on a busy Saturday.Onsite, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with some evenings and weekends for very large events.Compensation & BenefitsBase salary of 100,000- 120,000 per year, depending on experiencePotential commissions of 25,000- 40,000 per year, including liquor sales and upsells401(k) with company matchPaid time off and paid holidaysGenerous benefits packageWhat You'll DoOversee execution across all four venues, the catering brands, and both food trucks, including Event Order review, timelines, staffing, and on-site leadership for high-profile eventsManage event logistics and planning, including weather contingencies and event-day pivotsRoll up your sleeves on event days to serve, bartend, and set up as neededHire, onboard, schedule, train, and manage venue, event, and admin staffLead the Executive Chef, Staffing Coordinators, Event Coordinators, Facility Sales, and Warehouse ManagerOversee the Sales and Event Coordination teams, field pricing questions, and give final approval on all invoicesServe as the point of resolution for client escalationsPartner with the Executive Chef on menu and package pricing, culinary Event Orders, and kitchen staffingReview weekly cash flow and deposits; approve AP, timesheets, payroll, and gratuity distribution; review venue P&Ls with outsourced accountingRun bar operations, PA PLCB liquor ordering, and beverage vendors, and drive commissionable liquor sales and upsellsManage Caterease and Google Workspace licensingWork with HR, insurance, unemployment, and lease management partnersManage vendors, facilities teams, and logistics with the Warehouse ManagerAct as ownership's liaison, implementing new processes and systemsMust Haves5+ years in catering, banquet, or multi-unit event operations managementExperience leading managers across sales, event coordination, and culinaryWorking knowledge of P&Ls, food and labor cost, and cash managementProven success in high-volume, multi-site event environmentsBoard of Health certificationsLiquor license certifications (PA RAMP / liquor compliance experience)Ability to run operations independently with limited day-to-day owner involvementWillingness to be hands-on during eventsPolished in-person presence for client-facing time at large eventsSoftwareCaterease, Google Workspace, QuickBooks Online, Staffmate and Payroll Factory (payroll)********** LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY * ***********Please Note: This position is open to candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
