Plant Loader Operator

Position Summary Operate straight or articulated rubber tire tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from plant or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks and provide other support plant operations. Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Reliable attendance required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Direct incoming loads of construction material to the correct unloading location. Work with plant leadership and asphalt plant operators to ensure production material needs are met in a timely manner. Load hoppers and feed belts with proper materials for production. Load refuse, scrap, rubble and/or rejected material into trucks or roll offs for disposal. Ensure incoming loads of material are accurately recorded for receiving and payable purposes. Remove accumulated slurry from washout pits as needed. Perform basic equipment maintenance. Maintain the yard and unpaved areas of the complex by filling potholes and grading. Assure safe operation of equipment. Other duties may be assigned. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Previous heavy equipment experience with some manual labor on plant equipment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registration Valid NE driver’s license and be insurable under the company insurance program. Qualifications Ability to work a flexible schedule of 60+ hours per week, including some Saturdays. Physical ability to aid maintenance and normal operations of the two batch plants. Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Year‑round position with potential for 8‑10 hour shifts and 5‑6 days a week during busy season.
