Details Level II Trauma Center ICU unit with 26 beds serving trauma, stroke, neuro elective procedures, and general medical ICU patients Patient ratio of 1:2-3 Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7p-7a Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Cerner/PowerChart charting system required Floating required between Atlantic City and Mainland (Galloway) campuses, approximately 12 miles apart, as well as to step-down/PCU and other critical care areas as needed, with travelers prioritized for floating Requirements Active NJ or Compact RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required CPI and TNCC certifications preferred Minimum 1.5-2 years of critical care experience required Neuro ICU experience required Medical, Surgical, and Trauma ICU experience preferred Skilled in IV therapy, port access/management, arterial and central line management, PICC line management, and blood product administration Skilled in ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and suctioning (ETT, NT) Experienced with continuous IV sedation, paralytics/neuromuscular blockade, vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, and IV insulin protocols Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation/management, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and multisystem organ failure management Experienced in CVA/acute stroke management At least 1 manager reference within the last 24 months required for consideration, with 2 required after offer Additional Information Provide critical care nursing across medical, surgical, trauma, and neuro ICU patient populations in a collaborative intensivist-led care model Navy blue scrubs required, with white, black, blue, or gray undershirt permitted 6-day orientation required (Monday-Friday, 8-hour days, plus a return the following Monday for day 6) May be required to make up missed shifts during the same week or at the end of the assignment All RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be submitted upfront, as late requests may not be approved First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate Candidates within a 50-mile radius are considered local American Traveler Job ID P-751096.
