With 17 sites worldwide, the company is headquartered in Mainz, Germany, listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, and committed to sustainable development for society and the environment.Your ContributionManage all local purchasing and supply management activities, including sourcing, quoting, supplier selection, purchase order processing, and on-time delivery of materials and servicesServe as the primary purchasing contact and subject matter expert for local suppliers, internal customers, and regional market requirements while supporting global procurement initiativesReview and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders, maintain SAP purchasing data, generate procurement reports, and ensure compliance with internal purchasing standardsBuild and maintain effective supplier relationships by resolving escalations, managing acknowledgements, expediting critical orders, and supporting vendor-managed inventory (VMI) and vending programsCollaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to support business needs, optimize procurement processes, and improve purchasing efficiency and service levelsLead cost savings, value generation, benchmarking, supplier development, and global sourcing initiatives to drive continuous improvement and operational excellenceMonitor supplier performance through scorecards, business reviews, and development projects to ensure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability objectives are achievedManage invoice reconciliation, past-due orders, and supply chain disruptions by coordinating action plans to meet short-term demand requirements and resolve critical supply issuesEnsure compliance with company policies, the Code of Conduct, ISO standards, cGMP requirements, and all procurement-related procedures and controlsPromote a safe work environment by supporting EHS initiatives, adhering to safety regulations, and maintaining workplace safety and housekeeping standardsYour ProfileBachelor’s Degree in Materials Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, or related field, requiredMinimum of five years of experience in Material Planning or Purchasing, required Minimum of three years of leadership and/or management experience, preferredAPICS or CPIM certification, preferredExperience with MRP/MPS, preferredSolid knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 15378, along with cGMP and ISOThorough MS Office applications, SAP and electronic QMS systemsMulti-tasking abilitiesDecision makingDetail oriented approachForward/creative thinkingService orientedEffective communication skillsAbility to read, write and speak English languageYour BenefitsExcellent healthcare benefits including medical, dental and visionShort and long term disability Tuition reimbursement Paid time offPet insurance Other supplemental benefits available upon electionPlease feel free to contact us
