Position Relationship Banker I Job Summary Responsible for all customer service, sales, and relationship management; serves as the single point of contact for customers, mentors employees, and maintains knowledge of products, policies, and regulatory issues. Essential Duties Maintain thorough knowledge of all First United Bank products, services, policies, and regulatory issues. Follow procedures and policies accurately and efficiently for all customer‑servicing activities. Serve as a role model for tellers and relationship bankers. Retain existing customers and develop new relationships. Act as customers’ single point of contact on consumer and small‑business products and services. Exceed performance goals and participate in all sales campaigns; promote new products and services. Provide excellent customer service (greeting, smile, name, rapport). Identify and match customer product needs via interviews and discussions; make referrals as needed. Open new accounts, certificates of deposit, safe deposit boxes, and guide customers through paperwork and system entry. Assist customers with routine inquiries (balance, statements, check copies, stops, online banking, ACH, wire, etc.). Verify transactions, place holds, prove cash drawer, resolve discrepancies. Process transactions quickly and accurately (checks, money orders, traveler’s checks, cashier’s checks, loan payments). Maintain branch cash supply, perform cashier duties and vault functions. Resolve customer complaints and account issues; assist with charge‑off repayment plans. Perform security functions and ensure safety of bank grounds. Participate in meetings, bank functions, and community events as requested. Employee Specifications High school diploma strongly preferred; some college strongly preferred. Minimum 1 year banking experience (teller, lending assistant, or new accounts). Cash handling experience preferred. Superior customer service skills. Basic mathematics proficiency. Exact or highly accurate with daily work. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Time‑management and independent work capability. Good judgment and decision‑making skills. Critical thinking and problem‑solving. Multitasking ability. Professional appearance and ethical conduct. Active listening skills.
