Director, Corporate Business Development

Essential Duties/Responsibilities Lead Acquisitions: Own multiple acquisition processes annually, from deal sourcing, initial valuation and LOI through due diligence, and close. Build Founder Relationships: Meet with business owners and executives, share Airton’s value proposition, and assess cultural and strategic fit. Drive Analysis & Decision-Making: Build and review financial models, evaluate strategic upside and risks, and synthesize key insights for investment decisions. Coordinate Diligence & Closing: Lead cross-functional diligence efforts, managing internal stakeholders and external advisors across legal, finance, tech, and ops. Shepard Acquisition to Integration: Oversee post-close transition and support new portfolio companies with early strategic planning, leadership alignment, and operational priorities. Build the M&A Function: Mentor and grow a high-caliber team. Develop and evolve our deal execution approach and internal best practices. Shape the Culture: Act as a culture carrier – modelling humility, high standards, and long‑term thinking in everything you do. Working Conditions Open office environment. Some overtime required as special projects arise. Travel up to 50% of time depending on deal volume. Ability to work across time zones. Minimum Requirements 7+ years of experience in M&A, private equity, investment banking, or corporate development with a track record of successful acquisitions across industries and/or geographies. 3+ years of related experience in finance or investment banking. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field. Preferred Qualifications MBA CPA, CFA, or similar credentials. Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong financial acumen with the ability to lead valuation, modeling, and commercial analysis. Proven track record in operating in high‑ambiguity environments and managing multiple deals simultaneously. Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills – able to build trust with founders, operators, and internal stakeholders. Experience managing cross‑functional teams and coordinating third‑party advisors through complex transactions. Knowledge and experience working with private equity buyout and/or strategic mergers and acquisitions. A team builder who takes pride in developing talent and shaping culture. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift/move up to 10 pounds frequently. Must be able to drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective safety vests, gloves and safety toe, construction‑grade work boots. Must be able to adhere to long periods of standing, walking or sitting. Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds to operate phones or other equipment safely. With natural or corrected vision, able to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception. Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others. Ability to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10‑key numeric keypad.
