Director of GDS Distribution (Remote)

What You'll Do:Find opportunities and develop and implement strategy to optimize content options to meet customer needsPartnering with GDS's and other aggregators to ensure tight-knit collaboration on distribution matters, alignment on goals and improving the overall offering to joint customersWork through content related issues and apply solutions as required to overcome challengesWorking with internal partners to ensure alignment & progress on key goalsDevelop commercial models to meet the evolving needs of the marketplaceEnsure costs are well handled and controlledDistill large data sets into actionable insights that drive strategyWhat We're Looking For:Proven record of leading change across the businessDeep understanding of business travelExcellent analytical skills and critical thinking abilitiesExcellent organizational and planning skills, an attention to detail and ability to deliver multiple projects within deadlinesPositive relationship building skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and external partnersExperience in the distribution spaceExperience of working with product and technology from a commercial perspective is idealAbility to work across time zones - this is a global teamProven track record of leading a team - this role will include direct reportsLocationIllinois, United StatesThe US national base salary range for this position is from$110,600.00 - $205,400.00The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role.
