Applied Signal Technology (AST) is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join our Advanced Technology Division (ATD). Applied Signal Technology, provides trusted Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and Cyber solutions for the U.S. and its partners. You will ensure satisfaction of customer technicalobjectiveswithin cost and schedule constraints Travel: Domestic travel requires up to 25% to customer and partner locations, as well as other RTX locations The ideal candidate will be an experienced DOD/IC Program Manager who can deliver on a dynamic, mission‑driven program, within budget and schedule, and meeting the needs of the customer CONOP. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience as a Program Manager Typically requires 10 years of experience in the defense or intelligence industry as an engineer / project engineer / program manager, and experience in direct customer interaction Program Management experience overseeing complex technical programs to meet the deliverables of the contract Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) systems including antennas, amplifiers, and/or modems, and Hardware/Software integration Experience leading teams of engineers, presenting formal presentations in front of large groups, conducting detailed reviews, handling multiple projects and tasks, innovating and providing strategic direction, and making critical decisions while under pressure. Ability to work closely with customers, senior management, and cross‑disciplined technical staff to thoroughly understand customer objectives and then to direct and deliver solutions Experience writing monthly program and status reports Ability to identify, quantify, and communicate risks internally within the company, and externally to the customer, and develop/execute mitigation strategies Experience working with functional organizations (Finance, Security, Supply Chain and Scheduling) Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a polygraph prior to start date. U.S. citizenship isrequired, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer Active and existing Top‑Secret SCI (TS/SCI) with polygraph or active compartmented clearance (within 24 months) Master’s degree in Business or STEM related field Ability to understand customer objectives and concepts, extending those concepts into a workable software/firmware/hardware architecture/design as customer objectives become clearer and as new objectives emerge Effective use of program management tools such as Microsoft Suite or Atlassian products to proactively manage and status the program. Knowledge of program management processes for execution.
