Work Environment This position primarily offers a remote work setting through our telehealth facility, allowing you to connect with clients in a comfortable and flexible manner. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate individual patient needs. This arrangement enhances your work-life balance while ensuring you reach clients who may benefit the most from your expertise. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain insights into clients' unique experiences, values, and needs, enabling the development of effective treatment plans. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches, tailored specifically to the cultural backgrounds and personal histories of individual clients. Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, addressing a wide spectrum of mental health concerns and fostering resilience through holistic treatment approaches. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to ensure that clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care throughout their treatment journey. Offer crisis intervention services to support clients during mental health emergencies, demonstrating a calm and effective response in high-pressure situations. Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, ensuring high levels of diligence and respect for client privacy. Actively engage in case conferences and team meetings, sharing insights and strategies while participating in cultural competency training sessions to enhance practice effectiveness. Stay updated on current research, best practices, and cultural considerations in mental health therapy to continually improve the quality of care provided. Patient Population / Client Focus In your role, you will engage with a richly diverse client population, including ethnic and cultural minority groups, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants adapting to new environments. This unique client focus enables you to apply your cultural competence and therapeutic skills to enhance treatment outcomes, providing empathetic support that recognizes and respects their diverse backgrounds. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of Texas. A strong foundation in mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities with an emphasis on cultural competence. Experience delivering individual and group therapy, using responsive and inclusive therapeutic approaches that foster patient engagement and growth. Excellent crisis intervention skills, with a proven ability to remain calm and effective in challenging situations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms, ensuring accuracy in documentation and patient tracking. Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, ethical guidelines, and client confidentiality throughout your practice. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing positively to shared goals and outcomes. Preferred Experience Demonstrated experience in multicultural settings and sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations. Additional training in specialized therapeutic approaches relevant to the client population. Previous experience in a telehealth or remote therapy setting is highly desirable. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is between USD 70,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
