East Ridge Village is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician!

JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the

physical plant by conducting preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal

repairs and changes, building equipment, and plumbing repairs.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as

exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Performs the following maintenance duties:

• General maintenance duties such as fixing wall covers, floor covers

  and some furniture and fixtures, light plumbing work, minor electrical

  repair and appliance repairs.

• Routine preventive maintenance and painting and refurbishing

  projects, as directed by the Facilities Manager.

• Minor building and equipment repairs.

• Assists with work on heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water

  systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems and

  emergency generators.

• Maintain and operate small construction machinery.

• Concrete Flatwork Repair.

• Interior Renovation.

• Ensures community grounds and walkways are free of trash, debris, and

  hazards.

• Maintains the appearance of outdoor signs, parking lot lines, center road

  lines and direction of travel indicators.

• Responsible for removal efforts during emergency events.

• Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as

  requested.

• Maintains all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition.

• Responds to all fire alarms and assists in the evacuation of residents when

  needed.

• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical Schooling and/or background

preferred.

• Experience within a nursing facility

• One year’s experience in maintenance field required.

• Experience with appliances, security and sprinkler systems, lifeline systems, fire

alarms, plumbing, heating, electric and/or any other related repair or

maintenance is preferred
