Transmission Line Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale electric utility infrastructure projects from initiation through closeout. This role will oversee complex high value capital projects and programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project execution across transmission line, substation, and electric generation interconnection initiatives while coordinating with engineering, construction, regulatory, environmental, and operations stakeholders. This position requires a strong owner mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record delivering complex utility projects through the full project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of large-scale transmission, substation, and electric generation interconnection projects. Manage all phases of project delivery, including project initiation, engineering and design, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and final closeout. Serve as the primary owner responsible for project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and overall project performance. Coordinate and influence cross-functional teams consisting of engineering, environmental, regulatory, construction, procurement, contractors, and external stakeholders. Help develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and ensure alignment with project milestones and deliverables. Help manage project budgets, forecasts, accruals, cash flow projections, and cost reporting for large capital programs. Lead project meetings, drive decision-making, and effectively communicate project status to leadership and key stakeholders. Identify and mitigate project risks while developing contingency and recovery plans when necessary. Ensure compliance with applicable utility, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate closely with Project Controls Analysts and other support resources to maintain schedule and cost performance. Required Qualifications 3+ years of project management experience supporting large-scale utility, energy, or infrastructure projects. Demonstrated experience managing projects with budgets of $20M or greater. Strong experience overseeing transmission line projects and/or substation projects. Proven knowledge of the full project lifecycle, including planning, design, contracting, construction, commissioning, and project closeout. Strong background in project cost management, forecasting, budgeting, accruals, and financial reporting. Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software or something similar. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, meeting facilitation, and leadership skills. Ability to influence diverse stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple organizations. Preferred Qualifications Utility owner-side project management experience. Knowledge of SAP. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
