Experienced Barista – Full Time

$18–$21/hour + tips (typically an additional $2–$3/hour)

Café Magnolia is looking for an experienced barista who takes pride in making exceptional coffee and creating a great experience for every guest.

We’re looking for someone with real espresso bar experience —someone comfortable working with a traditional commercial espresso machine, grinding and dialing in espresso, steaming milk properly, and handcrafting lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, and other espresso-based drinks.

Experience using only fully automatic or push-button espresso machines does not qualify as the barista experience we’re looking for.

You should understand what makes a great espresso shot, know how to create properly textured microfoam, and be able to consistently produce high-quality drinks even when the café gets busy. Latte art experience is a big plus!

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a barista using a traditional commercial espresso machine
• Strong espresso preparation and milk-steaming skills
• Ability to make consistently excellent lattes, cappuccinos and specialty coffee drinks
• Comfortable dialing in espresso and adjusting grind as needed
• Able to maintain quality and presentation during busy rushes
• Friendly, outgoing and genuinely enjoys working with customers
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work well as part of a team
• Latte art skills are a plus
• Willingness to learn and continue improving your craft

Compensation

$18–$21 per hour , depending on experience and skill level, plus tips that typically add another $2–$3 per hour.

That puts typical total compensation at approximately $20–$24 per hour .

This is a full-time position .
