Job Opportunity – Operating Room Nurse / Surgical Services – Vermont

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Vermont

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Full-time assignment with call coverage including 10 on-call shifts per month. Call shifts run Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM, plus one weekend per month (Friday through Monday). Holiday coverage required as needed during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's periods.

Highlights:

• Circulator role with focus on strong orthopedic surgical experience in a hospital setting
• Diverse case mix including general surgery procedures: laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repairs (inguinal, umbilical, incisional), soft tissue mass excisions, oncologic surgery, and emergency cases such as appendectomies and bowel obstructions
• Endoscopy procedures including colonoscopy and upper GI endoscopy
• Exposure to both open and laparoscopic techniques across multiple specialties
• Call pay provided at $4 per hour; overtime paid at flat hourly rate
• Maximum of 5 days requested time off will be considered (must be specified at time of application)

Requirements:

• Active Vermont RN license or Compact state licensure
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Minimum 2+ years of current Operating Room experience in a hospital setting
• Strong circulator experience with orthopedic surgery background
• Minimum 3 months of travel nursing experience
• Personal vehicle required for this assignment
• Current skills checklist (within 1 year) for Operating Room
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
