Monroe’s is looking for the right person to join our sales team.

We specialize in automotive accessories, truck equipment, golf carts, and related products and services. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, can stay organized in a busy environment, and is willing to learn.

Previous automotive or sales experience is NOT required.

We would rather train the right person from the ground up than hire someone who thinks they already know everything. Product knowledge can be taught. A good attitude, honesty, reliability, and willingness to learn are much harder to teach.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Helping customers in person and over the phone
• Learning our products and helping customers choose the right options for their needs
• Preparing quotes and completing sales
• Following up with customers
• Scheduling installations and coordinating with our shop
• Learning proper product fitment and application
• Keeping customer information, orders, and sales records organized and accurate
• Working with the rest of the team to keep customers taken care of during busy periods
• Learning our point-of-sale and inventory systems
• Following established pricing, discount, delivery, trade-in, and sales procedures

Who We’re Looking For

You do not need to be an automotive expert.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is dependable and shows up ready to work
• Communicates well and, just as importantly, knows how to listen
• Is comfortable talking with customers
• Is honest when they don't know an answer and willing to ask
• Can take direction and accept feedback
• Pays attention to details
• Can handle phones, walk-in customers, and multiple tasks without losing track of things
• Understands that promises made to customers need to be promises the company can actually keep
• Works well as part of a team
• Follows established procedures instead of making up their own
• Wants to learn and become better at the job over time

Experience

Sales, automotive, powersports, equipment, hardware, parts-counter, or customer-service experience is helpful, but not required .

If you're motivated and willing to learn, we'll teach you our products and systems.

That means listening before selling, asking questions when you're unsure, communicating with the shop, keeping accurate paperwork, and doing things the right way even when we're busy.
