An inpatient hospital is seeking a Laborist in Newburgh, NY. This role provides obstetric inpatient coverage for a high-volume community hospital and involves managing labor and delivery care, including cesarean sections when needed.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: Sunday through Saturday
• Hours: 24-hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM
• Setting: Inpatient hospital

Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient laborist coverage for obstetric patients.
• Manage general OB/GYN and high-risk OB cases.
• Evaluate and treat an average census of 7 to 8 patients per day.
• Perform cesarean sections when clinically indicated.
• Coordinate care in a hospital setting with emergency privileges as needed.

Qualifications:

• Board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Active state medical license.
• DEA registration.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• NRP certification.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in laborist or inpatient obstetric practice.
• Familiarity with EPIC.
• Background working with high-risk obstetric populations.
