Sr. ServiceNow Developer

Job Title Job Overview: Pay Range: $78.33hr - $83.33hr Requirement/Must Have: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience. 5+ years of experience with software development, basic coding and compilation, software architecture/design, user requirements definition and software specification development. ServiceNow Developer Certification is required. ServiceNow Admin Certification is preferred. Expertise in ServiceNow modules including ITSM, CSM, CMDB, ITOM, and SOM. Expertise in ServiceNow APIs and scripting including Business Rules and Client Scripts. Expertise in customization and configuration of ServiceNow modules using JavaScript and UI development. Advanced knowledge of web technologies including XML, JSON, and REST APIs. Advanced knowledge of data management and database concepts. Advanced knowledge of SDLC processes and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Advanced knowledge of security protocols including LDAP and SSO. Advanced knowledge of UX/UI design and implementation. Advanced knowledge of continuous integration within DevOps environments. Advanced knowledge of API Management Tools and GIT/BitBucket. Advanced knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure. Advanced knowledge of database technologies including SQL, Oracle, Mongo DB, or PostgreSQL. Advanced knowledge of test-first practices including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD). Strong experience with Deployment, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Continuous Delivery processes and tools. Responsibilities: Perform technical detail design, coding, and testing of applications. Serve as a subject matter expert for discussions related to maintaining and enhancing existing software systems. Develop and analyze interface design documentation. Comply with hardware and software systems standards, code quality, migration, and dev/ops policies. Perform software analysis, including requirements and use case development and design. Implement and document source code to design specifications. Perform software testing including developing and running automated unit tests and executing structured automated test cases. Compile, assess, and report data results from software testing and analysis. Develop software solutions for enterprise environments and other technologies. Analyze and implement functional and non-functional requirements such as performance and availability. Perform operations and maintenance (O&M) of existing systems while identifying areas for improvement. Provide direct technical support for high-level, high-visibility, and critical trouble calls for supported applications. Work with cross-functional teams to develop highly reliable software that runs at scale. Extend open-source libraries and systems as necessary to meet team needs. Play a crucial role in product scoping and roadmap or architecture discussions. Mentor junior software engineers and review the work of other developers to provide feedback. Decompose functional and technical requirements into project activities and tasks. Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
