POSITION SUMMARY
Along with building doors, this job includes organizing product, hinging jambs, hanging doors, assisting packagers, quality inspections, ensuring count accuracy, cleaning work area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Check incoming and outgoing product for quality.
- Pull material to prepare for shipment.
- Visually check species and style of product.
- Visually check for defects:
- Machine/prep doors for building.
- Knowledge of product, proper handling techniques
- Proper use of machinery in department. Forklifts, saws, wrapping devices, etc.
- Hinge jambs, Hang door, Apply brick mold and cladding
- Assist packaging
- Operate Kval and FullHouse door hanging station
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED
- Two years' experience in manufacturing environment
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to be highly organized and able to keep jobs together.
- Ability to interact with machining, receiving, pulling and finishing department team members.
- Ability to track paperwork, including pick tickets and purchase orders.
- Ability to access information from the computer, including: pick ticket delivery dates and information, purchase order arrivals and information, and customer information.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors and team members of other departments to coordinate information on a customer’s order.
- A high sense of urgency and a willingness to work as a team, not as an individual.
- Ability to understand the nature of wood species and veneers along with their individual characteristics in both sanding and finishing.
