Electrical Engineer - Building Systems Design (Revit / BIM Focus)

UL Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in Revit and building systems to join the Design & Construction team within the Facilities Department.This role is ideal for an engineer with a background in A/E design consulting and experience in electrical design and project leadership for commercial, industrial, or laboratory facilities. Project management skills can be further developed through on-the-job coaching.As part of a growing internal design team, this role will support conceptual and schematic design development and lead coordination with third-party vendors for new construction, renovation, and facility planning projects. The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver lab and technical facilities from concept through construction while maintaining the integrity of UL’s global facilities. This role will also support Facility Teams in maintaining and optimizing building systems across active sites.This is a full-time hybrid (3 days a week in-office) role, and can be located at any UL Solutions office in the United States. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field6+ years of experience in building systems design within an A/E, consulting, or construction environmentExperience supporting electrical construction documentation for commercial, industrial, or laboratory facilitiesExperience collaborating across disciplines in multi-phase building projectsStrong proficiency in Revit (required) and experience in BIM-based design environmentsProficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS ProjectKnowledge of regulatory requirements (UL, FCC, FDA) related to lab environmentsFamiliarity with automation and control systemsPreferred QualificationsExperience designing laboratories, technical facilities, or complex industrial environmentsExperience with global project coordination and collaboration with external design firmsUnderstanding of energy-efficient building systems and sustainable design practicesTotal Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $104,000 to $130,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
