Account Executive (Construction/Flooring)

Account ExecutiveOur client, a leading commercial flooring contractor based in San Diego, is seeking a results-driven Account Executive. This hybrid role combines sales and project management, providing an opportunity to take ownership of client relationships, drive revenue growth, and manage projects from pre-construction through completion. You will work out of the San Diego headquarters, managing relationships with general contractors and end users across the region, while overseeing successful project execution.Duties & ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development / Sales Identify and pursue new client opportunities across general contractors and end usersMaintain a strong presence at industry events and associationsPre-Construction & Planning Conduct job site visits to assess project scope, take measurements, and identify logistical challengesCreate take-offs and detailed estimates for labor, materials, and preparation requirementsProject Management & Execution Oversee projects from contract award to completion, managing schedules, budgets, and installation qualityCoordinate with in-house installation teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and executionConduct regular site visits to proactively resolve field issues and verify progressTrack and manage job costing, billing, and change orders throughout the project lifecycleIdentify risks and inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions and process improvementsQualifications & RequirementsExperience Proven experience in commercial construction sales, estimating, or project management, preferably within the flooring industry (5+ years preferred)Skills & Knowledge Strong project planning and organizational skillsAbility to read plans/specs and use digital take-off and estimating toolsExcellent communication and negotiation skills with internal teams and external clientsBenefitsCompensation & Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package including vacation, medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)Career Growth & Skill Building Opportunity to take on meaningful responsibilities in a fast-moving business and grow professionallyCulture & Values Work with purpose and integrity: go the extra mile, support your team, have fun, embrace growth, and uphold integrityEnjoy a positive, team-oriented environment that celebrates successes and values having fun at work
