Respiratory Therapist OpportunityWe're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Austell, GA where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.Minimum RequirementsAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science required. Bachelors preferred.Current Georgia Respiratory Care license in good standing.NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.Certifications required upon hire: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (or completion/provisional NRP within 180 days if allowed by facility).0–2 years clinical experience required with at least 6 months of critical care experience.Experience in ventilator management, arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, airway management (intubation, extubation, tracheostomy care), and pulmonary diagnostic testing.Experience working in critical care and emergency department environments preferred.Ability to communicate effectively, apply critical thinking, collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and document in electronic medical records.Willingness to participate in patient/family education and precepting of new staff and students.Uniform: dark grey pewter.Assignment DetailsFacility type: Hospital.Primary specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist.Shift name: Nights.Shift details: Nights 1800-0700 (3x12 schedule).Weekend requirement: Approximately 1 weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per schedule.Clinical focus: Critical care with protocol ventilator management, therapeutic treatment, and participation in invasive and non-invasive cardiac and pulmonary procedures.Location HighlightsAustell, GA offers convenient access to urban and outdoor attractions.
