Business Development Manager

Business Developer Detroit / Metro Detroit, Michigan | Remote with 2 days per week, minimum, at client sites Salary from $85 000 to $105 000, based on relevant experience Permanent contract Travel to OEM meetings, company offices & industry events 5V Video are working with a global technology company delivering premium entertainment and content platforms for the automotive industry. They're now looking for a Business Developer to support the sales and business development team across the full sales cycle, helping to open new opportunities, develop customer relationships and coordinate commercial activity with internal teams. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where you'll have the opportunity to build your own network within the automotive OEM space over time. Day-to-day: Creating presentations, proposals, business cases and commercial offers Identifying and developing new business opportunities across target automotive accounts Building and growing your own automotive OEM network Coordinating RFQs, RFPs and quotations with internal Product, Engineering, Delivery and Support teams Managing pipeline, forecasts and reporting , while keeping opportunities moving Representing the company in customer meetings and industry events , while ensuring a smooth handover into project execution Requirements: 2-5 years’ experience in automotive Business Development or Sales Good understanding of automotive OEMs and how they make purchasing and business decisions Hands-on experience creating presentations, proposals, business cases and commercial offers A proactive hunter mindset , with the motivation to open new doors and develop new business Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to keep multiple opportunities moving Excellent communication and coordination skills Comfortable taking ownership of pipeline activity and commercial opportunities Comfortable travelling to client sites, OEM meetings, company offices and industry events Bonus points for: Experience within the content, entertainment or digital technology industry Experience working with automotive technology or software An existing network within automotive OEMs Experience managing RFQs/RFPs or complex technology sales processes Important things to know: You don't need an established senior OEM network from day one. The ambition and ability to build one is what matters. The role is remote-based , with 2 days per week onsite at client locations across the Detroit / Metro Detroit area .
