We seek an experienced Agile Software developer who can not only lead the existing, high-performing software development team, but also oversee and guide the implementation of the Agile software approach to fulfill customer expectations.Come join the team that is creating cutting edge signal processing and geolocation systems for the future!What are the primary responsibilities in the Sr. Software Developer position?Leads an Agile software development team comprised of about five senior-, mid- and junior-level developersImplements the adoption of the Agile software development approach, at approximately the CMMI level three, as well as the related Agile processes into an established, high functioning software development teamWorks closely with the Program Manager, Lead Architect / Product Owner and The Software Delivery Lead to establish team priorities Demonstrated, well-established experience with Agile software development in C++/Python using GitLab/Atlassian toolsContribute as part of the SW Dev team to develop new functionality and capabilities to operate in a containerized environmentWillingness to support RRC products on-site at customer locations (Chantilly/Dulles/Sterling area) as needed, the primary work location is the RRC Chantilly officeWorks closely with other elements of engineering team to ensure delivered solutions meet all customer requirementsAssists and advises the System Engineering team to produce accurate and timely documentationCommunicates internally and externally to influence changes in practices, processes, and approachesParticipates in all phases of the product development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testingApplies engineering, software, and mathematical analysis principles in software developmentProvides input for new products and processesWhat required background will make you successful?Full scope polygraph or willingness to obtain is required US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREDPreferred skills:Docker or Podman containerized software in a Kubernetes managed environment X-MIDAS experienceDigital Signal Processing and geolocation knowledgeWeb and database development (PostgreSQL)Where is the position located?This position is located at our Chantilly, VA office.*The likely salary range for this position is $225,000 to $275,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
