Our Labor and Delivery team specifically helps the birthing person every step of the labor, delivery, recovery, and post-partum process. The Birthplace has electronic fetal monitoring equipment with central display for easy, constant observation. An operating suite for Cesarean sections is just a few steps away. Our patients receive care from a compassionate and highly skilled nursing and interdisciplinary team in a fast paced environment. We strive to make each birth a special experience for our families as they have been preparing for this event for many long months. Education Qualifications* Bachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science: Nursing (BSN) PreferredSkills and Abilities* Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to rights of patient/significant other, as identified within the institution. (Required proficiency)* Demonstrates awareness and application of safety issues as identified within the institution. (Required proficiency)* Demonstrates awareness of legal issues in all aspects of patient care and departmental functioning. (Required proficiency)Licenses and Certifications* Registered Nurse - KSBN A multistate license with the ability to practice within the State of Kansas is also accepted. Required* Basic Life Support - BLS RQI, CPR or ACLS certifications may be required in lieu of or in addition to BLS depending on department.
