Other duties may be assigned)Provide preventative, complex, and comprehensive dental care servicesExamine patients, diagnose their dental/oral conditions, prescribe and/or carry out appropriate treatmentsRecord patient-dentist transactions in the patient's dental recordsComplete referrals, data collection instruments, and other records or paper workAbility to refer patients for specialty consultation or treatment if neededEducate patients in oral health related conditions and preventionMust be able to listen to concerns and suggestions and provide follow-up and feedback in a timely mannerAbility to calm nervous patientsAbility to respond effectively to patients of all agesTrain and evaluate assigned staff remain calm and professional under pressureAbility to work independently, exercise judgment, and resolve problemsPotential for mucous membrane or skin contact exposure to blood, fluids, or tissue. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), when appropriate, is requiredExposure to hazards or physical risks (i.e., Blood, Sharps, Needles), which requires following basic safety precautionsWill work with blood or blood-borne pathogens and will require knowledge and understanding of OSHA protocolsMaintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and recordsPHI (Protected Health Information) CompliancePerform all work duties and activities in compliance with CC Idaho, Joint Commission, OSHA and HIPAA regulationsQualificationsRequiredDDS or equivalent from an accredited dental schoolUnrestricted dental license (D.D.S or D.M.D) to practice dentistry in the state of IdahoAbility to read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business settingDEA registrationCurrent CPR/1st AidSuccessful clearance of general and DHS background checksPreferredKnowledge of public health principles and practicesCompletion of an accredited general practice residency programTwo years of professional dentistry experience and/or trainingRequired Physical DemandsIs frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reach with hands and arms; grasping/holdingMust be able to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsDepth perception, normal visual acuity, and hand-eye coordinationAbility to differentiate between colorsWork EnvironmentWork in an office setting; the work may be stressful; the noise level is moderate; exposed to x-ray equipment, nitrous oxide and oxygen gas tanks, dental chemical and pharmaceutical products and sterilization equipmentBenefits:"CCI is a strong, non-profit agency to work with.
