Description
- Vehicle Transport: Safely operate a rollback flatbed truck to tow or haul passenger cars, medium-duty equipment, or wrecked vehicles.
- Loading and Securing: Use hydraulic controls to tilt and slide the bed, operate winches, and apply chains, straps, or wheel-lifts to tightly secure cargo for transport.
- Documentation: Complete daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR), tow logs, and client paperwork or digital invoices accurately.
- Customer Service: Interact with repossession agents, law enforcement, and repair shop personnel in a professional, empathetic, and communicative manner.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep the rollback truck, straps, and hydraulic systems clean, lubricated, and in safe working order.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of vehicle recovery techniques
- Professionalism
- Experience utilizing a rollback
- Safety Conscious
- Driving Record: Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) with no major infractions.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, crouch, and work outside in all weather conditions.
- Medical Requirements: Must pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical examiner's certificate.
- Experience: Prior experience in towing, heavy hauling, or flatbed operation is preferred.
