AIHC focuses on culturally competent care, emphasizing disease prevention and health promotion tailored to the needs of Native American populations. The center also offers patient education, chronic disease management, and specialized care to enhance the overall well-being of its community members. Facility Address: 801 Vassar Drive NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106Optometrist - ResponsibilitiesThe Optometrist delivers primary and comprehensive eye care services, including prescribing corrective lenses and ordering diagnostic studies.Diagnose and manage visual and ocular conditions, including Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma, Iritis, and other ocular/systemic diseases.Perform minor surgical procedures (e.g., anterior segment foreign body removal, corneal debridement, suture removal).Provide preventive and therapeutic optometric care to patients across all age groups and with diverse needs.The Optometrist detects neuromuscular impairments and anomalies of binocular function.Refer and coordinate medical and surgical care with other healthcare professionals as needed.Utilize laboratory and radiology services to manage and evaluate ophthalmic conditions.Conduct mandated examinations, such as diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma screenings.The Optometrist provides specialty clinics and services, including low vision care, contact lens services, and geriatric care.Optometrist - RequirementsDoctor of Optometry degree from an accredited program by Accreditation Council on Optometric Education.At least one year of professional experience as an OptometristPassing score on the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) exams.Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Must have a current unrestricted license to practice Optometry in a U.S. State, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.KurzSolutions is committed to improving health outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
