Janitor

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a Janitor in partnership with a prominent client in the Hillcrest, NY area within a manufacturing setting.

Summary
Shift: 1st: 30- 32 hours per week
Salary: $18 per hour


Janitorial Job Duties:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, floors, and fixtures.
• Restock restroom supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, soap, hand sanitizer, and other hygiene products.
• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility and dispose of waste in designated areas.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, windowsills, equipment exteriors, and other fixtures.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors in common areas.
• Follow proper procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Perform other janitorial, housekeeping, and facility duties as assigned.

Janitorial Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Janitorial experience in manufacturing, warehouse or industrial setting is helpful
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
