And it’s your chance to really shine and contribute to one of the world’s most recognized brands and a beacon for engineering excellence.Position Summary: The LibertyWorks R&T Project Engineer role is responsible for providing technical leadership to a multi-functional integrated product team (IPT) and for getting stuff done by removing barriers and exhibiting deep engagement in project efforts. This role has full accountability for the application of a systems approach to the realization of new technology solutions aligned with our Defense Initiatives.You will define, plan, monitor, control and deliver impactful change (including new solutions) to meet all agreed stakeholder requirements. This includes a heavy focus on planning and delivering verification work packages to ensure that Rolls-Royce's technology products meet business, customer and regulatory requirements. What you will be doing:Define, agree, and integrate the plan for the IPT, considering both the scope of the overall Work Package and the activities required to understand and then produce a solution which meets requirementsCreate and agree a schedule for the full lifecycle of the IPT, manage the project plan (time and budget), and drive adherence to achieve time, cost, and quality targets.Define the necessary resource to achieve stakeholder requirements, and negotiate with resource managers, in conjunction with other Work Package Managers (WPO) to obtain the work package resources required to successfully execute and deliverEnsure project risks (technical, cost, supply chain and timescale) are identified, managed (including integration of risk activities in the project plan), and escalation of risks in accordance with risk management plan.Definition and delivery of robust verification, certification and qualification strategies with internal and external customers as required.Analyzing and reporting key earned value information to Program leadership describing project performance and any associated recovery actions.Basic Requirements:Bachelors Degree in engineering with 2+ years experience, ORMaster’s Degree in Engineering with 0 years of experience ORJD/Ph.D.In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA CitizenshipPreferred:Project Management and Engineering ExperienceExperience leading or managing a team for execution of project work or in support of a functional skillset Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment; willingness to accept responsibility and take initiative; and drive to finish assigned tasks on scheduleAn excellent command of the English language for both written and oral communicationsFamiliarity with external customer interface as well delivery of engine assembly and testing experience at a system level.
